HPCG, a nonprofit organization, was founded from the grassroots of the Greensboro community in 1980, entirely through the efforts of volunteers. Our hospice pioneers were volunteers from the academic, faith, nursing and business communities of Greensboro. Having begun in a windowless office in the basement of the Public Health Department, HPCG grew dramatically, and is now located on a 14.75 acre campus with four buildings on Summit Avenue.
Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro enhances quality of life by providing expert interdisciplinary care, consultation, support and education for those affected by serious illness, death or grief.
Our vision is to be the leading community resource for addressing issues of serious illness, death and grief.
Our care is about enabling our patients to live more fully. We work together with our patients and their families to help them discover life’s most important moments. We are not just a provider of services, but together we capture moments that really matter.
